Foxglove Cottage - Ashford-in-the-Water
Accommodation
A charming period stone cottage dating back to the 19th Century with exposed beams and stonework. The delightful lounge/dining room has an Ashford marble fireplace with log effect gas fire, herringbone wooden floor, colour TV and DVD/video. There is a separate writing bureau and dining table.
The kitchen has an electric hob and cooker, fridge, washer/dryer, microwave and breakfast bar. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are double, (one with a king-size bed) and the small bedroom has a 2'6" single bed, (more suitable for children). All linen and towels are provided. Gas central heating is provided throughout.
The pretty cottage bathroom has a bath with shower over, bidet, washbasin and toilet.
A stable door in the kitchen leads outside to the delightful cottage garden with table and chairs, pergola and further garden bench at the rear. It gets the sun for most of the day!
There is on-street parking in front of the cottage.

Location
Well positioned within Ashford-in-the- Water, 'arguably the prettiest village in Derbyshire'. Local pubs, restaurant and village shop are all within easy walking distance. The market town of Bakewell with its excellent shopping, restaurants, cafes and markets is just 2 miles away.
Also nearby are the historic country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, the spectacular scenery of Monsal Dale and the Wye Valley, the Caves of Castleton (home of the 'Mighty Titan' - the largest cave in the United Kingdom), the cable cars of Matlock, the thrills of Alton Towers and not to mention the shopping at Meadowhall, (one of the largest shopping centres in the country).
For lovers of the outdoors the area has everything from walking to cycling, climbing, fishing, horse-riding, caving and much more! Miles of cycle trails can be explored on foot or bicycle (cycle hire available locally). The White Peak is in close proximity as is the tranquillity and breath-taking scenery surrounding the Derwent Dams where the famous 617 'Dambusters' trained for the dams' raids (still commemorated with annual fly-past).
